Children & Family Ministries

Our mission, Grow Faith, Share Hope and Show Love in the Name of Jesus, is evident in our children’s programs.

The bright and cheerful Children’s Wing invites children to come and explore the life and love of Jesus.

We believe:

  • Our role is to partner with parents.
  • Children naturally have a servant’s heart and desire to use their God-given talents.
  • Studying God’s Word builds a strong foundation.
  • Relationships are the key to discipleship.
  • Through prayer and worship, children experience God.

Little Sprouts – Birth through Kindergarten

Infant and Toddler Nursery
We offer a caring, nurturing environment where children can experience God’s love. Nursery is available for infants and toddlers to age 2. The nursery is open during the 9:00, 10:15 and 11:30 services. Safety and security are a high priority. Each family is given a vibrating pager when they sign in their child. Parents can be contacted quickly anywhere in the building.

Preschool
Children may attend worship with their parents, through Time with the Children”. Programs for 2-4 year old children include a Bible story and art/craft activity. Our curriculum is colorful, and scripture based. Children learn through play, listening and talking.

Nursery Coordinator
Diane Siegel, provides consistent adult supervision in our nurseries every Sunday. Her familiar face gives our children added comfort and security while they are in our nurseries and gives parents peace of mind in knowing their children are in good hands while they worship.

Elementary – Grades K-5

Our goal is to build relationships with children and create a loving and safe environment for them to grow and explore their faith. We strive to show the love of Jesus to each child that participates in our programs.

Children’s Co-op

In the spirit of developing all children to their greatest potential, Northminster Children’s Co-op provides a high quality early childhood program to meet the cognitive, physical and spiritual needs of preschool children and their families.

 Philosophy and Mission

We believe that children learn through hands-on experiences that involve them in an active and meaningful way.  Each classroom provides a variety of learning activities that include play-based, center-based, individual and group opportunities which meet each child’s individual needs.  Partnering with parents, we create a warm and caring learning environment where children feel encouraged and safe to discover,  experiment and explore.

The State of Ohio has awarded this program a Two Star Rating for meeting the quality benchmarks established by the Department of Job and Family Services.  Step Up To Quality is a three star quality rating system created to recognize and promote early care and education programs that meet quality benchmarks over and above minimum health and safety licensing standards.
