For well over 15 years, NmPC has participated in the Prison Fellowship program known as Angel Tree. Each year children, whose mom or dad are in prison, have presents purchased, wrapped and delivered by Northminster members in the name of the child’s mom or dad. A food basket for the families is also provided.
How to Serve:
- NmPC members contact caregivers to confirm the information we received from Angel Tree and verify gift requests. Place gift tags on the Christmas tree in the Commons. Volunteers take the gift tags from the tree, purchase and wrap the gifts, then place the gifts back under the Christmas tree. Volunteers purchase food items from a list and place them in laundry baskets. Volunteers deliver the presents and food baskets to homes in our area.
Contact: Bob Brockfield (church coordinator) at with questions. Watch for publicity in the October/November timeframe.
Prayer Request: Please pray for God to bless the families of prisoners in our neighborhood. Join us in lifting up the men and women behind bars, that God might transform these lives, and in turn use them to transform their prisons, their families, and their communities.
